Dear SPCS family members,
It is my pleasure and gratitude to have this great opportunity to serve our SAMAJ to the best of my ability. As the years go by SPCS family is getting bigger and bigger - SPCS just added the Carolina chapter, which includes members from South and North Carolina. Regardless of the size of the samaj, the NEC and I are trying our best to serve our Samaj while keeping unity, "EKTA", in the center. With this in mind, I hope everyone has enjoyed all of the SPCS activities at a Local, as well as, at the National level.
As everyone knows, the SPCS family just attended the 6th national convention in Atlanta, GA during the 4th of July weekend. It was one of the most successful conventions we have ever had - centered on the theme "EKTA" (unity). The different kinds of responses we are getting from all the convention attendees are giving us a sense pride - for delivering the right message to our community in order to build a strong foundation around our youth, centering unity and team work, while enjoying the delicious food, phenomenal entertainment programs and outings, and knowledgeable educational seminars. I hope everyone had a great time and enjoyed the three days of convention festivities and returned back home with a positive message and a strong decision not to miss next convention.
I would like to express my heartfelt thanks to all SPCS members, convention team, and leaders of SPCS for making this convention one of the best. The GA chapter's "EKTA" was the heart and basis for the success of this convention, along with unconditional support from all the other chapters. I greatly appreciate all the volunteers, participant and attendees, and especially SPCS's future "youth group". I am so proud and happy to have such a unity and team within SPCS. I also greatly appreciate every international guest, speakers, and participant without whom we would not have been able to make this convention an "international convention".
The very important message I would like to share with all of you is that If I had missed this opportunity to volunteer for SPCS, then I would have never discovered the tremendous amount of hidden talent, strength, and spirit of volunteering there is within our Samaj and especially within the GA chapter. A second and last message is that no task is impossible if there is strong unity, team work, constant and honest communication, low profile leadership, and unconditional dedication from volunteers.
Let us we all pray for the success of SPCS while maintaining our unity and focusing to achieve our goal "to preserve our culture, build bridge between generations, maintain unity while helping our community".
For all of this, again I thank and greatly appreciate every one of you from the bottom of my heart.
"Together we can achieve more"
Sincerely,
Ramesh S. Suhagia
SPCS NEC President
